On Monday, Shaun, Caroline, and I went to Philly to see WWE RAW and it was GREAT. The show started with a dark match of Balls and Axl from ECW VS TNT (Garrison Cade and Trevor Rhodes doing a new dumbass cowboy gimmick). After that they taped Sunday Night Heat (which isn't going to air in the US because it'll be a pre-pay per view hype show tonight). I cheered ballistically for The Hurricane. Also, the Heart Throbs might be my new favorite tag team because they are so animated. They're like the two guys from those SNL Night At The Roxburry skits. At 9 Monday Night Raw started. I cheered and booed everything so loudly, I was having the time of my life.
The Main event was John Cena Vs Gene Snitsky in a lumberjack match. Now, you need to understand something about Snitsky. He's a heel (bad guy) which means you're supposed to boo him. Also, he's huge, ugly, flabby, chicken-legged, balding, and to top it off, he's an AWFUL wrestler. So of course, Shaun and I decided to cheer for him harder than anyone else. When he came out, Shaun and I screamed at the top of our lungs for him. There was a 6 year old girl next to Shaun that gave us the most confused and disturbed stare. I think until that very moment, the world was black and white to her, and we just shattered her perception of reality. We cheered every single move Snitsky did and booed everything Cena did. We counted out loud for every pin attempt by Snitsky ("ONE, TWO, -OHHH" Shaun: "I think we're just counting the number of fans Snitsky has) and started "lets-go-snit-sky" (clap clap clapclapclap) and "it's-not-your-fault" (clap clap clapclapclap) chants by ourselves. Also, the Heartthrobs were in the lumberjacks, and Shaun poined out how animated they were. Everytime someone was slammed, they jumped up. Whenever Snitsky got hit, they freaked out. It was so great to watch. The whole night was the highlight of my summer.
I didn't do anything for the rest of the week until Friday. I went to Ocean City with the Marlton kids. We went to this awesome pizza place that had TACO PIZZA and it was the best pizza i'd ever had in my life. We walked up and down the boardwalk. There was this store called Shore Things that had a GREAT indie cd store in there. Well, it was really expensive, but they seriously had the best selection I'd ever seen. I got the last This Day Forward album used for 8 bucks. I performed my one man play, the Stages of Dan Drinking for everyone. We got back home around 1 and went to Denny's. I decided to save my money and not get anything, so of course everyone around me gets the meat lover's breakfast that I love so dearly. But I got their scraps, so I pretty much got a full meal out of it, so I was happy.
